The Lost Watch 3D Screensaver 1.1 build 10

The 3PlaneSoft-developed application which we’ll call The Lost Watch because the complete name is way too long, works in one of two ways.

The first thing this application does is it turns your regular, static wallpaper into a dynamic, moving wallpaper. The wallpaper displays a good looking, golden pocket watch that’s been dropped in a stream. You can clearly see the watch, the pebbles at the bottom of the stream, and some vegetation. You can also see the water flow by. From time to time a drop of water will fall and you will see a ripple effect.

If you find that to be a bit distracting, you don’t have to use The Lost Watch’s animated wallpaper functionality. You can set it to be your computer’s screensaver. When the computer goes idle, The Lost Watch screensaver becomes active and displays all the things I’ve mentioned above.

By default, The Lost Watch plays the sound of flowing water. If you don’t like this sound, you can mute it by pressing the M key on your keyboard. If silence is not to you liking either, you can go to the Settings pane and create a playlist. The Lost Watch will play the music that you include in that playlist.

Download – the download weighs in at little over 13MB.
Installation – at the time of writing this, The Lost Watch provides support for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit editions). You can install the application in English, German, French and Russian. During the installation process you are asked to install the 3Planesoft Screensaver Manager. This manager provides information about your currently installed 3PlaneSoft screensaver and about other screensaver 3PlaneSoft has to offer. The manager allows you to access the settings of all the 3PlaneSoft screensavers installed on your system. It also comes with a feature to automatically change the screensaver after a specific amount of time, or to display a different screensaver each time the computer goes idle. This manager is quite useful if you have more than one 3PlaneSoft screensaver.
Limitations – after 90 seconds a nag screen will appear. To get rid of this nag screen you have to purchase a license.
